Timeline Introduction

This timeline will plot the important stories and some data for each year of the club. Five main sources will be used for this data.  

1. Sid Grant's History of Coalfields Soccer (SG)
2. Sid Grant and Harry Hetherington's unpublished 'History of Soccer in NSW' (HH)
3. Trove, especially the newspaper and visual records
4. Bill Walker's personal compilation of Weston statistics
5. Philip Mosely's Soccer in New South Wales, 1880-1980 (PM)

Basil Raulston's reflections will also be useful background for the early 1930s. 

Each year in the timeline has its own separate post and will be divided into sections showing the source of the information presented. I will summarise with my own gloss at the bottom, after which I will place my initials, thus: IS.

The first 70 years or so will include all of the Weston information from Sid Grant's History of Coalfields Soccer -- because why not replicate such a valuable and thorough resource. There are, however, moments when 'the cat has his tongue' and we will need to rely on information from elsewhere.
